Single player main game

Escape the Ether is a high intensity roguelite/high skill platformer where you are tasked with escaping the ether you have been trapped in by navigating the 100 level, procedurally generated platforming hell.

All movements can be preformed using just 4 keys (Arrows/WASD). However, combinations of this simple control scheme are couple together to create a very intricate control scheme, provided you level up the correct skills and equip the correct items.

Have what it takes to reach level 100? At this point you will have the option to escape, but only if you can pass the final test… Or carry of if you feel like going for a super high round.

On top of this, there is also 7 level packs to unlock within the main game, each of which contain 6 hand crafted levels that will push your platforming skills to the limit, but reward you with overpowered items to take back to the main game.

Multipleplayer

Escape the Ether also allows you to show off your skills against human opponents. Either play split screen with a friend on the same keyboard, or link up over LAN to user your single player setup. Also, if you purchase on steam, you can play split screen against a steam friend using play with friends!

Map creation

Feeling creative? Why not use the in game map creator to create a work of platforming hell, then upload it to steam to spread the, err, joy?
